Description:

Please remove the old version before updating

This version is only compatible with standard embedded rendering and is not compatible with URP/HDRP/Mobiles/WebGL. Requires compute shader support.

[URP Water Version](“https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/tools/particles-effects/kws-water-system-urp-rendering-203144”)

[Water version for HDRP](“https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/tools/particles-effects/kws-water-system-hdrp-rendering-205007”)

If you have already purchased the standard version, you can always do a paid upgrade to URP/HDRP with a ~70% discount.

Compatibility for mobile platforms will be added in separate packages due to mobile limitations.

All demo scenes and resources from the video are included.

[PC DEMO]

Water rendering uses physical approximation for lighting and wave simulation and is based on physical parameters such as wind strength, turbidity, transparency, scattering, etc. Therefore, water rendering should look right in any scene, for example day, night, sunset or in a cave.

Features:

– GPU wave simulation with multiple cascades (to avoid tiling)

– Physical approximation of lighting (volumetric lights and shadows, absorption, scattering, caustics, sun rays)

– Physical approximation of reflections using fast reflections projected onto the screen area (several times faster than other SSR methods), plane camera reflections, cube map (probe) reflection

– Physical approximation of refraction in screen space with dispersion (using water IOR)

– Physical approximation of caustics in relation to water depth and waves (with dispersion).

– Underwater effect with partial immersion – Underwater solar shafts/volumetric lighting with caustics

– Rendering shore waves using foam particles – flow of drawing using flowmap (integrated flowmap painter)

– Fluid simulation for static objects (rivers) with foam rendering

– River system using spline – Buoyancy – Dynamic ripple

– Rain effect – VR support (PC target platform)

– Various meshes: infinite mesh (ocean), finite box (pool), river spline, custom mesh

– Lod system with mosaic or quad tree rendering

– Depth buffer (for proper post-effects like ‘depth of field’)

– Video/text description of each setting in the editor.

– Fog compatibility (one click) with 3rd party resources for Enviro, Azure, Weather

Maker, Altitude Fog, Volumetric Fog and Fog2, COMFORT weather.

KWS Water System Standard Rendering v1.3.0 is a robust Unity unit that provides an advanced and highly customizable water simulation system optimized for the standard rendering pipeline. This pack includes realistic water shaders, dynamic wave effects and various settings to modify the appearance and behavior of water, making it ideal for creating realistic water surfaces in games and simulations. With features such as reflections, refractions and customizable real-time wave patterns, the KWS water system ensures a high level of visual fidelity and performance. Ideal for developers looking to enhance their projects with sophisticated and immersive water effects.
